Made as a response to information pollution, this piece was about reduction, simplicity, and perception.
Particularly meaningful to me because it’s the first work I’ve created without a digital footprint. After rethinking my tech-heavy approach, I stripped away many elements and focused on industrial materials and light. The essence was playing with form, shape, and space. I became excited about the photo-physical process of fluorescence, where light interacts with acrylic, creating a live exchange of absorption and emission of energy. I pay homage to a shape that has been with me since the early days of my practice. The square has become a universal language, for me, symbolizing stability and structure. This piece acts as a recalibration of my practice. I’m continuing on a journey to understand the power of less.
